It all started with the OG Thrift Queen herself, Lynn Pfiffner, also known as Barbalynn. Grandma to the Owner/Founder, Maysa Maraia. Barbalynn introduced vintage clothing and antiques to Maysa and her sister Mara at a young age, she would bring them to flea markets, garage sales, thrift stores, & antique stores. They both grew to love the world of vintage and especially vintage fashion. Maysa & Mara also spent time dressing up in those vintage finds in their basement, this became fondly named “The Dress Up Nook.” Mara along with her Mother, Taura, are vendors at Barbalynn’s Vintage under that very name. Maysa’s hobby of sourcing a unique wardrobe has evolved into a journey of finding pieces for others. She wanted to create a sustainable brand to help combat the fast fashion industry and show others in her community that you can find affordable fashion sustainably.
